UNIT 37 - Weekly Production Log 3

This week I had filmed my first opening scene for the chat show, we had to set up the drama studio and make it look appealing or "suitable" for a Chat Show. This took about 30 minutes as we had difficulties finding the right props and equipment. Also we had to adjust lighting and get used to the electric lighting board so we knew how to control it. After me and Selim had finished setting up we started to shoot the opening scene of me walking in and introducing the chat show. We only got about 25 minutes of filming done as there was a drama club rehearsal at 5:00 and we started at 4:35.

This week we had arranged to film in the drama studio and got permission from the teacher, he has gone through all the set-up work and areas we could use and how to use the lighting keyboard. We had to also arrange a time and date as the studio is very busy during school hours hence why we decided to film after school hours.

This week as well as rehearsing we had planned to ask the drama teacher to use his room as it is very spacious and suitable for lighting. For the chat show I would have to follow the dress code convention as most chat show hosts wear a suit and tie I would have to do the same. I have chosen to use Selim as my guest as me and him are comfortable with each other on camera and can act really well.
